A must to visit when in Sutherland!
The Sutherland Planetarium is a fantastic attraction and a must visit when in Sutherland. It gave us a great background to our Stargazing later that evening. Nico van der Merwe owner of the Planetarium conducts the Stargazing himself and is both very knowledgeable and relatable. Attached is a photo of Jupiter with 3 of its moons visible and one of our moon which we took with our smart phone through the 11 inch telescope (there is also a larger 14 inch telescope). Highly recommended! |
